1992 was the last year of the Third Generation Camaro. This was also the last year of production of the Camaro at the assembly plant in Van Nuys, California where this car was manufactured. The third generation Camaro also outsold the Mustang in 5 of the 11 years it was on the market. During the first year of the Camaro 3rd generation production (1982), Camaro sales went up 50%. These Camaros were the first ones built with factory fuel injection and five-speed manual transmissions as well as four speed automatic transmission.
