The Chevy Nova was a personal favorite for law enforcement in all 48 states. It was produced for over 20 years. The Nova was advertised as not too small, not too big, and not too expensive. It was a fun and affordable option for muscle car lovers. In 1969, Chevrolet dropped the name Chevy II and the car was now known as the Nova.
This is an incredible Chevy Nova SS with loads of history and documentation. It is a matching numbers car. This Nova was a special order with Olympic Gold and a white painted hardtop, both rare options.
Car was completely taken apart and a rotisserie restoration was done. The subframe was separated, stripped, and painted.
The Olympic Gold paint (Codes 65-50) is top notch with no visible flaws. All chrome, trim, and emblems in shiny new condition. The undercarriage is as clean as the body and top and presents in new condition. The wheels have the original poverty caps on the rims.
Interior is the black bucket seat interior with a floor shifter. All interior components are in like new showroom condition. All the original seat belts are still with the car.
Engine is the original 350 CID with 300 horsepower. It is paired with the M21 4-speed manual transmission. Both were fully rebuilt. Engine compartment is super clean and in show condition with all of the factory markings.
Car was delivered with original 3:55 posi rear and manifold. The original owner had the dealer install a 4:10 gear.
This Nova was ordered with the Strato-Bucket front seats, 4-season Air Conditioning, AM/FM stereo with push buttons, the Nova SS equipment, pedal trim, glove compartment light, luggage mat, and special insulation. The original owner had the dealer install the tic tac gauges.
The Nova SS equipment wasspecial V8 engine, special hood and grille, wide-oval tires, power disc brakes and special chassis components.
Car is fully documented with the Retail Order, bill of sale, dealer invoice, car shipper invoice, original title, protect-o-plate, photos of the car before the restoration, and a very cool self-made booklet that the original owner kept records in. He recorded every single part purchased along with the part numbers.
This is an outstanding Nova SS. It is great for shows and cruising. It is in Kentucky and available viewing by serious buyers only.
