The 1960s until the late 70s was the era of American muscle cars. The Chevrolet Chevelle was one of the most popular muscle cars, and the model was produced from 1963 to 1977. The Chevelle Super Sport was a mid-sized car and was built until 1973. Today, it still remains a top pick for muscle car enthusiasts. I have heard many a story of back in the day nostalgia, whether it be a buyer who always wanted one but never had one, or, maybe a brother or relative had one, or, they had one and want to relive the past by purchasing a Chevelle SS today.
This car is a 1967 Chevelle SS 396 tribute car. It looks like the real deal, it has a powerful engine, is paired with 4-speed manual transmission, and it presents very well and runs like a champ! Miles exhibit 42,936 but only less than 16,000 miles have been placed on the car since it was built.
Exterior is the factory color Emerald Turquoise, and the paint is very good and shows well. Body is all metal with no rust. The black vinyl top is in great condition and adds a nice contrast. Adorning the middle of the chrome grill is the SS 396 emblem and dual headlights are on either side. Just above the headlights on the drivers side is the Chevelle emblem. Front quarters feature the Chevrolet crossed flag emblems. The rear also features the SS 396 logo and rear quarters exhibit the Super Sport lettering.
Interior is a black bucket seat console, and all components are in excellent condition. Dash features wood grain that is in excellent condition as well as all chrome trim. The steering wheel has the SS emblems in the center. Other features are a Sun Super II tachometer on the steering wheel and a clock on the console. The AM/FM radio is aftermarket.
Under the hood, you find a GM High-Output ZZ3 350 CID/345 HP engine. The design features include a 4 bolt main bottom end, forged crankshaft and rods, 9.8:1 hypereutectic (high silicon) pistons, hydraulic roller cam, and Corvette-style aluminum cylinder heads. Ignition is Mallory with master coil. This is a very solid, reliable engine that does not burn oil or drip any fluids. Engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a Hurst shifter.
The front end is all new including springs, shocks, and coils. Other features are power steering, power brakes, and factory AC.
This car is a great driver and handles the road with excellent performance. It has always been garaged and driven sparingly. The car is located in MONTANA, and it is available for viewing by serious buyers only, by appointment.
