You are looking at a top-quality custom built 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. This car has won several top awards this year and draws crowds at every show. Owner has professionally raced and built several cars over his lifetime. Careful thought went into the design and the build of this beautiful show car, and all work was done by top professionals.
Exterior exhibits a gorgeous Pewter paint that is flawless. All chrome and trim are in mint condition. Windows are smoked tinted glass. The headlights and taillights are LED. Car has no tubs or other extreme body modifications. The rear fenders were stretched on an English wheel and pulled out so room could be made for the tires. Rear fenders still follow the contour of the car. Wheels are Billet Specialty wheels, 18.8 front and 20.10 in the rear. A diamond cut center pattern in the wheels match the valve covers in the engine compartment.
The custom interior was done by Steve Holcomb of Pro Auto Interiors. Seats are leather and seat inserts are 60,000 thick carbon fiber. The hydro dip trim and accents around the seats were made by Specialty Camouflage. Rear seat is a handmade fold down seat with chrome plated trim. Dash is an original 1957 dash with Dakota Digital Gauges that display fuel, temperature, oil pressure, and tachometer. The steering wheel is by Billet Specialties, and it matches the Billet wheels. Vintage Air and Heat was installed for comfort. Wipers have the Raingear assembly.
Engine is a brand-new crate LS2 and has fuel injection by LS Classics. The automatic 4L60E transmission was built by drag racer Clarence Woodman. Intake is by LS Classics. Valve and valley covers are Holley. Valve covers and master cylinder have a center diamond cut pattern that match the wheels. The ECM and harness are by Holley. Body wiring harness is by Painless Performance. Radiator is a custom-built Griffin radiator. Headers are stainless steel headers that are ceramic coated. Exhaust is 2.5 polished stainless steel with mandrel bent angles.
Other features to note are Wilwood 14 6 piston brakes and a stainless-steel custom-built gas tank by Hardcore. Undercarriage is finished, flawless and beautifully shown with mirrors at shows. Chassis is by Hardcore and has coil over front suspension with rack and pinion. The rear is a 9 Ford with coil overs and a 3:50 gear ratio.
Show awards include Tri 5 Nationals Top 25, ISCA Best Custom, ISCA Best in Class, Outstanding Display, and Best Custom, Builder Choice award at Goodguys in Nashville, First Place at Tupelo World of Customs, First Place at World of Wheels in Louisville, Shades of the Past Top 25, and Alabama Gold Cup award for Best First Time Shown.
