For the 1933-year, Dodge became a pioneer in the automobile industry when the company introduced the 1933 Dodge DO model. Featuring downdraft carburetors and an advanced L-head six-cylinder engine, Dodge influenced automotive engineering for many years to come. The V-shaped grille that slanted added a new design flair and many auto manufacturers adopted that design. Also to note was the silent, all-helical gear transmission.
Ony 1,173 Dodge DO Sedans were built for the 1933 year. Not only is this one very rare, but it is also all steel which makes it a unique and very desirable collector car.
The Misty Grape paint with Candy Purple accent stripes is a real head turner and quite stunning. The body is straight and solid and exhibits no signs of rust. The four suicide doors are always fun to see. Those doors opened with grace and style! The front windshield is the original tilt front window. All windows roll up and down with ease. Also to note is the 3rd brake light. The headlights are brand new.
The interior is light beige leather, and it gives this Dodge a classy look. All interior components are in excellent condition. The rear seat features footrests.
The engine is a 350 CID and is paired with a Chevrolet automatic transmission. New are Edelbrock carburetors, fuel filter, fuel lines and fuel pump.
Options include power steering, power brakes, AC and heat, cigarette lighter, a new Fattie mirror, and AM/FM radio with CD player.
New are the rear spare tires, wiper blades, the chrome grille shell, and the front end has had a realignment.
The front end is a Mustang II and the rear is an 8 inch Ford rear end.
