Today, the street rods are even more popular as enthusiasts desire a retro look or a modified, custom body design and plenty of power for very fun driving and a display of their talents.
Named Taz, this is a spectacular 1930 Ford Model A coupe that not only looks great but has all the modern comforts of today and it has won 125 awards in just a few years! The car was built by a professional street rod and custom builder out of North Carolina. The body is all-steel and very straight. Exterior displays a professional paint that is a custom Tangier Orange and Silver Gray Metallic. The stainless-steel grille is new as well as the side mirrors. The wheels have very cool MAAS chrome rims that are in perfect condition. Mufflers and side pipes are by Patriot.
The interior is gorgeous, and it matches perfectly with the outside of the car. The dash is painted the same Tangier Orange. The bucket seats are the same orange color and feature gray seat inserts that are highlighted with a tasteful orange strip. Door panels match the seats and are orange with a gray horizontal accent piece in the middle and a gray pocket for storing things while you cruise. All VDO gauges are clear and in new condition. Steering column is an IDIDT with tilt. The steering wheel has the Taz emblem and the floormats do as well. The Lokar shifter is on the floor.
The drivetrain and components are all Ford. Engine is a 302 CID that was rebuilt, and it has 2 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetors. It has an awesome sound! Valve covers are by Billet Specialties. You will see Patriot headers and a heavy-duty radiator. The transmission is a C10 automatic that has been rebuilt. The current owner is very meticulous and has been very attentive to keeping this Ford in great shape. New are a water pump, the starter, and timing chain. The oil is changed twice a year. There is an 8-gallon fuel cell in the trunk.
The undercarriage is very clean and shows very well. The front end has a straight axle with Camaro spindles and front power disc brakes. The rear end is from a C10 Chevrolet Blazer.
