This is a very desirable and rare collector car. The 1974 ½ MGB GT hatchback came only with chrome bumpers with exception of a run of 1247 rubber bumper MGB GTs exported to the US and what is termed the 1974 1/2 model year. The mid 70’s brought emissions and safety regulations and MG was forced to comply. The rubber bumper MGB’s were produced from September through December of 1974. This MGB GT is one of the only 1247 rubber bumper cars ever produced in 1974.
