This is an excellent 1937 Buick Series 40 convertible coupe, 1 of 2399 manufactured. The Fisher body is the solid, original sheet metal and vehicle is laser straight. This classic Buick has remained in the South its entire life and has been in the hands of this collector for 20 years. The exterior is the original Sandringham Maroon color. Interior is tan and in excellent condition. The dash is original and most impressive. The original steering wheel has no cracks and is in great condition.

This automobile comes with the original 248 cid inline overhead valve Eight-cylinder engine that offered 100 horsepower. The overhead valve mechanism was much quieter than the previous version of this engine. Also intake valves were updated in 1937 as well as an improved cooling system. Transmission is the original 3 speed sliding gear transmission with floor shift controls. Brakes are the four wheel hydraulic drum brakes.

Options on this collector Buick include heater, defroster, dual side mounted tires, white wall tires, and a grill guard. This car has a dash installed radio with a built in speaker that was an option for an additional fee in 1937. Miles show 31,609. Seat belts have been added for driving safety.
